The Beef Jerky Flavors. My personal description for taste and texture of the beef jerky flavors.
First,, I have been a jerky lover for all of my adult life.Not that I can say I am a world expert here. But I do know my jerky. I like it to have a good moister content and flavor that is real, not some juice or liquid to add a way to powerful flavoring. Most all the JD jerky that I market here on bbtjerky.com meets or exceeds my standards for moisture content and meat snack texture. As with all jerky sodium content is usually high, JD Jerky has some of the lowest sodium content in the business when it comes to jerky. Beef Jerky Slab Style Hickory Smoked. Low Carbohydrate meat snack here with real hickory smoke. When you sink your teeth into the hickory smoked beef jerky slab style you can taste the real hickory smoke flavor. This is not a liquid smoke flavoring. It is real hickory smoke. this one is a little dry in texture for my taste. But still has better moisture content then what you normally find at the quick mart shop. And even though I said a little dry for my taste, I still munch down on a bag or 2 from time to time because of the great hickory smoked flavor. If you like hickory smoked meat snacks this one is a good choice. 60 calories per serving with 10 grams of protein and 390 milligrams of sodium.
The Sticks Jerky/ Stix: Before I get to the descriptions on the sticks beef jerky and stix jerky taste and texture, I want to explain what the beef sticks are and what the beef stix are. The Beef Sticks are of the steak variety, and a good chunk of meat snack. They measure from 2 to 6 inches long can be as much as 5/8 inch in diameter but with irregular shapes. They are not symmetrical in the diameter shape.
The Stix. The stix are in shape similar to the slim jim style jerky. Although with a more premium texture and without the greasy aftertaste. The measure approximately 5 to 6 inches in length and about 5/16 inches in diameter
The Organic slab style beef jerky. I can not say enough about the organic style. For one all the organic beef jerky is certified organic. This is a step above the all natural. All the organic jerky is gluten free.

Size Of Jerky Bags
As you may know, of late. Many jerky companies are reducing the size of the bags of jerky. In other words, you get less ( oz. weight) per bag. This measure is to hold down the cost of the jerky per bag and still be competitive in the jerky market. Jerky Direct at the time of this update has not reduced the size or amount of jerky per bag. If things change, I will get them posted and changed on all the above jerky A.S.A.P. To double check, when placing your order on any order page. You can check at that time if any changes have been made to the size of the jerky bags. If changes happen. And only saying if. Peppered Steak Beef Sticks. One of my favorites. The texture is one that when you bite into this jerky, you know you have a real chunk of meat. The pepper is not some liquid flavoring, but real cracked pepper taste. And there is plenty of the cracked pepper taste to enjoy.
Only 80 calories with a whopping 14 grams of protein per serving and 465 milligrams of sodium.
Original Steak Sticks. If you like your jerky mild, this is the one for you. Has a very mild taste. With the same texture as the peppered steak sticks. Again a nice chunk of meat snack here with the original flavor.

Beef Stix Habanero. One of my favorite as I like hot stuff and habanero. These stix are not for someone who is not use to hot stuff. Flaming hot habanero taste, the texture is a little dryer than some of the other hot stuff jerky like the organic sweet and spicy. 80 calories with 14 grams of protein per serving and 465 milligrams of sodium per serving
Original Stix Flavor. The original flavored stix jerky is very mild. Just the meat flavor with no spices or pepper.
